Terms of Use for Wild Orchid

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Wild Orchid mobile application ("Wild Orchid", "the app"), developed and operated by Douglas Davis ("the developer", "we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Wild Orchid on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with the Apple App Store Terms of Service and these Terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the app, including by attempting to copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or distribute it, or by using it in any unlawful way.

Subscriptions

• Wild Orchid is free to download and use with a limited number of orchids in your collection. Optional Premium features are available through an auto-renewable subscription.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription automatically renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
• Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Educational Content Disclaimer

Wild Orchid provides general orchid care information for educational and personal record-keeping purposes only. It is not professional horticultural advice, and growing results are not guaranteed. Always confirm the specific needs of your orchid and use your own judgement. The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.

Wild Species

Wild Orchid includes information about wild and protected orchid species for educational appreciation. Many wild orchids are legally protected. You are responsible for complying with all local laws — never collect, dig up, or disturb wild orchids or their habitats.

Intellectual Property

The app, its design, text, and content are owned by the developer and are protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app, including any loss of data or harm to plants.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
